Western Kansas- Outreach

We spent the weekend of the 7th and 8th of November in Stockton, Kansas (a town of about 1,300 people) For y'all who don't know where that is here's a map:

We partnered with the local youth center, FUSION, to present our strong man show and preach the Gospel.  The boys set up the stage with Bubba and the girls and I, well, we visited with local people and the girls had a blast playing in the gym!

Some of our new friends, Pastor Steve (Left) and Pastor Morgan (Right). This was Right after the Pastors prayed for Bubba to bless their city.
We were thrilled to have approximately 130 in attendance.  That's a great number considering the size of the town and we were competing with a wedding in town the same night! When Bubba gave the call to follow Jesus, my eyes filled with tears! Three fourths of the crowd raised their hands and boldly stood to ask The Lord to be lord of their lives! It was beautiful!!! An entire row of junior high girls responded and several adult men that I would have never guessed, responded as well.

We had a wonderful time with our host family, the Foster's, they were so fun and gave our children a good dose of Grandparenting! (We live about 4 hours from our parents)

We planned to go to church on Sunday with our host family and head home after lunch. Did you notice WE planned that? Here comes a God opportunity ladies and gentlemen!
So Saturday night after the show, around 10 pm, our Host Dad told us that Pastor Steve asked if we would like to speak at his church the next morning. Our answer? YES! We love the opportunity to share our story, especially TOGETHER!
Bubba And Pastor Steve
We enjoyed our time worshipping and sharing at Stockton Assembly of God with Pastor Steve and the whole church family! It was such a refreshing time. A powerful time! We truly love it when God simply slips a sweet "interruption" in our lives to meet amazing people and bring hope and healing!
THANK you for your continued support, We could not do what we do without our supporters, friends and family!! God Bless.

Dowling FAMILY Ministries!

We ARE going to update our blog regularly! We will no longer be depending on Facebook to keep everyone up to date on what we are up to....this is ALMOST a promise ;-)
Bubba has traveled once or twice a month most of the summer and fall months visiting Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. Of those trips the rest of the family has helped on all but two outings. Which has been great! We are working at making our ministry, OUR ministry. The boys are helping set up, tear down and even do some strength feats on stage.

Setting up a break.
Luke ripping a phone book.
Nathan bending a single bar.
The girls are helping carry things, tearing things down and of course cheering! We have also had the whole family pray for people when the location has been appropriate. Now, that's fun! Watching our children lay hands on the sick and seeing them healed....there aren't words to describe the feeling of watching our kids move in total faith knowing that the Father can heal.
Mama even got in on the action in Iowa!
Anna Banana on stage with Daddy! She touched LOTS of hearts that day!!
The whole Fam! Can you say WOW!

We are traveling this weekend to do ministry again AS A FAMILY! We all love it when we can be together. It just feel ......  right!
Let us know if you would like to chat about our other ministry projects starting up...we will write more about those in our next post! (just a little teaser ;-)

Following God's Heart all the way to Kansas

Following God’s Heart all the way to Kansas!

Well everyone, the Lord has us on the move again. This time, literally. He has now called us to Kansas, the hub of a Fatherhood movement that will spread over the United States and quit possibly the world!
As many of you know, Bubba has a wonderful story of how The Lord has taken him from a broken little boy and turned him into a wonderful husband and father. And, as many of you know, the Lord hasn’t given Bubba this story to keep to himself. He is called, by God, to share his story with other dad’s to encourage them to be the father’s God created them to be.
Last spring a Fatherhood Movement was started in Kansas and Bubba was involved from the ground up, helping develop the curriculum, helping develop the presentations, was the spokesman for the Strong Dad’s Program, appearing in several Public Service announcements, being the Key Note Speaker for the Fatherhood Summit last June, and speaking over 40 times at various Head Start locations all over Kansas. This program will be continuing this spring serving fathers of children ages 3 to 5 years.
Now, Bubba is involved with yet another groundbreaking movement. He has been hired by the State of Kansas to assist youth that are aging out of foster care become self-sufficient through raising public awareness. Bubba will be presenting information about the programs offered to these youth and recruiting individuals to come along side of the youth as committed-supportive adults at community organizations such as: schools, homeless shelters, residential facilities, churches, and Foster Parent support groups that may come into contact with a youth.
Actually, Bubba and I, both feel that this is the first time in our lives as full time ministers, that family, ministry and work, will all be AS ONE. It will just be “our life”. Following this call plugs into two aspects of our Vision Statement that, until now, have been very low key:  Standing for justice for those who have been unjustly treated and calling forth this generation.

Thank you,

"To the Stars Through Difficulties"...

"Per aspera ad astra" is the Kansas State Motto (To the Stars through difficulties)…we think we fit right in! The story The Lord has given our family, as many of you know, is just this…we have both gone through difficulties as children and youth, as a married couple, in ministry…and the final destination is eternity with Jesus!!!!
As we start our journey here in Kansas to what God has planned for our family, we are feeling the shift…
shift into being apart for most of the day,
shift of communicating very little until evening,
shift from full time Jesus preaching to full time Jesus "living",
shift from five year friendships to building friendships from the ground up,
shift into "The World" of public school,
shift into being sports and ballet parents,
shift from distant neighbors to friendship neighbors,
shift from comfort to unfamiliar.
In all of this shifting we can see God blowing his breath of life on us…LITERALLY! Kansas is known for it's winds and the stories are TRUE! It blows here 99% of the days, the rare day that it is still feels just off. haha
Back to the breath of life thing :) We sense the presence of The Lord here so strongly! We can see the Father's heart for this land…it makes me weep. He has such great things for the people of Kansas to accomplish for his Kingdom! I pray they can see it too, some day soon.
Please pray with us for "Kingdom Vision" to be strong here; for the people of Kansas to realize they are important to The Lord; for the will of the Lord to be the focus of this place!
     It is SO beautiful here…
What the sky looks like 80% of the time... AMAZING!
